Resilience Alliance

Established in 1999 by Buzz Holling and colleagues, the Resilience Alliance is an international, multidisciplinary research organization that explores the dynamics of social-ecological systems.

RA members collaborate across disciplines to advance the understanding and practical application of resilience, adaptive capacity, and transformation of societies and ecosystems in order to cope with change and support human well-being. The RA publishes Ecology & Society, a peer-reviewed, open access journal, and brings research findings to the attention of policy and decision-makers at all levels.

The centre is a joint initiative between Stockholm University and the Beijer Institute of Ecological Economics at The Royal Swedish Academy Sciences. Center for Resilience Education

The Center for Resilience Education is a science communication student organization at the University of Nebraska- Lincoln dedicated to the increased understanding of ecological resilience and its application. Students have developed educational modules to teach ecological resilience concepts, including encyclopedia-style articles, in-classroom activities, case studies, podcasts, and more.
